Rebecca Ferguson to star in ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ adaptation
Rebecca Ferguson joins the cast of 'The Magic Faraway Tree', bringing Enid Blyton's classic to life. The film features a star-studded ensemble and promises magical adventures.
Actress Rebecca Ferguson says she had to pay rent to her mother from the age of 15.
Ferguson, 34, whose parents divorced when she was three, lived between their houses in Sweden, but when she landed her first job, on a soap opera, as a teenager, she was told to “give back” to the family and feels grateful for doing that, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
In an interview with Vogue magazine, Ferguson recalled her mother’s words: “You’re going to pay rent now, because you’re a working woman who is earning more than me so you give back to the family.”

Of that experience, Ferguson said: “I learnt then the value of making money for myself.”
